Bernard Martinod responds with lies and inaccuracies

This morning Bernard Martinod posted several documents stating lies and inaccuracies regarding The Haitian Academy and its founder Dr. Marie René.

Bernard Martinod stated that;

1. In 1995 Dr. Marie René began squatting on the campus land.
2. He has had no involvement in the events that have transpired.

Facts:

1. The Haitian Academy land was purchased in 1988.

• The property was purchased in 1988 by Mr. Gregoire René and his wife Dr. Marie René.
• The property was cleared for construction of the campus in 1988.
• The first school building was erected in 1989.
• The Haitian Academy campus opened its doors to students in 1990.

2. Bernard Martinod is not only involved, he is staging the attacks on The Haitian Academy.

• Multiple court documents show Bernard Martinod’s direct involvement in the events that transpired on August 7th, September 19th and 20th, October 16th and 17th.
• The armed men who occupied The Haitian Academy campus for almost 30 days stated they were in the employ of Bernard Martinod.
• Medical records state Bernard Martinod’s men physically assaulted Haitian Academy employees.
• Court documents show Bernard Martinod’s personal vehicle transported rogue Haitian SWAT, CIMO, and UDMO agents onto the school campus.
• Bernard Martinod was on the school property on October 17th, 2014 giving instructions to workers erecting a wall in front of the school gate. (pictured below)

The Haitian Academy will not be intimidated by Bernard Martinod’s underhanded tactics. The institution has been working for the Haitian community since its establishment in Brooklyn, NY in 1979. The Haitian Academy has a proven track record within the Haitian community locally and internationally and will not be bullied by Bernard Martinod.

The Haitian Academy continues to stand its ground and will not give up this fight against injustice and corruption.
