Campus cleanup effort starts

With the help of our Haitian Academy community and supporters the campus cleanup effort has begun. No time to rest school is opening on September 9th, 2014.

Discarded student records are being organized and removed from the yard where Bernard Martinod was getting ready to burn them. Volunteers are working to salvage books that can be used for the 2014-2015 academic year.

It’s a long road ahead but we’re not giving up. The school started in a basement in Brooklyn NY 35 years ago and now we’re occupying a campus in Haiti. We’re not intimidated by hard work.

Daily updates will be posted so stay connected and share our story.
